Stage 3 – Elkford BC to Etherington Creek Campground, AB

Jetzt sind wir mitten in den Rockies gelandet.

Heute war Hike a bike Tag. Wanderschuhe waeren besser gewesen und Louis Trenker haette seinen Spass gehabt. 2 Stunden bergauf schieben durch dichtes Unterholz. Kaum 2 m Sicht. 7 Fluesse mit klarem, frischen Wasser haben unsere Fuesse gekuehlt. Kneipp laesst gruessen.

Aber die Muehen haben sich gelohnt. Eine grandiose Aussicht ueber die Rockies.

Der einstuendige Downhill war allererste Sahne... Aber nach 07:02 Stunden ( das doppelte vom Sieger) haben wir uns auf die Dusche gefreut.

Unser Camp liegt mitten im Wald, fernab jeglicher Zivilisation. Morgen um 9 geht's wieder los... nasse Socken wurden schon vorhergesagt.

We can’t leave Elkford without first doing a quick tour of their choice singletrack trails just out of town. Next, cross the spine of the continent – the Continental Divide – into the province of Alberta and the vast parklands and trail system that make up Kananaskis Country. Expect a sharp, steep ascent to reach the max elevation of the week on the Continental Divide, and then enjoy a fun descent to finish at the scenic Etherington Creek Campground, and our first Wilderness Camp.
